To help ensure that environmental laws and policies provide for and encourage high levels of environmental protection, the Environmental Cooperation Program works to strengthen laws, regulations, policies and procedures in the areas of environmental impact assessment; and management of wastewater, solid waste, chemical and hazardous substances and air quality.
