CAFTA-DR Environmental Cooperation: Partnering for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development,
20-22 January 2010, San José, Costa Rica

The public is cordially invited to:  CAFTA-DR Environmental Cooperation:  Partnering for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, a conference bringing together stakeholders from around the CAFTA-DR Region to reflect on environmental cooperation issues and identify potential synergies beyond 2010.  The Conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Corobici Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica, from 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, until 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2010.  We would especially like to invite citizens to join us at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday for the opening ceremony and CAFTA-DR Environmental Partners Fair, which will showcase results from over 80 projects implemented as part of CAFTA-DR environmental cooperation and provide an opportunity for citizens to learn how to become engaged and participate.  Furthermore, on Friday afternoon there will be joint sessions entitled Pathways to Prosperity Dialogue on Public Participation in Sustainable Development sponsored by Costa Rica and the Organization of American States (For more information on this session, please see:  http://pathways-caminos.org.dnnmax.com/).  To view the agenda or register, please download the Registration Form (rename the file to name.docx after downloading it in order to open it in word format) and email it to Abby Lindsay at LindsayA@state.gov.  Conference registration required.
